Organizing with Campaigns

Campaigns are folders for your backlinks. You create one per project, per client, or per whatever grouping makes sense for your work, and assign backlinks to it. Instead of scrolling through a flat list of hundreds of links, you open a campaign and see only what belongs there.

Why campaigns help

If you manage SEO for one site, you might not need campaigns at all. But the moment you have two or more projects running, they become hard to live without. A few common setups:

  • One campaign per website you manage. Keeps everything separate and easy to compare.
  • One campaign per client if you run an agency. Makes billing and reporting straightforward (more on that in the client billing guide).
  • By link type (guest posts, directory listings, niche edits) if you want to see which strategies are working.

Each campaign shows the total links it contains, how many have been indexed, and how many credits were spent on it.

How campaigns relate to billing

Every indexing check and submission inside a campaign is tracked. At the end of the month you can see exactly how many credits each campaign consumed, which makes it easy to bill clients based on actual usage instead of guessing.
